Calculate Your HVAC Energy Savings

See how much a high-efficiency system can save you on Dallas-Fort Worth energy bills.

Upgrading to a high-efficiency air conditioning system is one of the smartest investments you can make for your home. With the intense Texas heat, cooling costs account for a massive portion of your summer utility bills. Use our Energy Savings Calculator below to compare your current system against modern, high-efficiency equipment and estimate your potential lifetime savings.

What is the difference between SEER and SEER2?

SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the standard measurement of air conditioning and heat pump cooling efficiency. The higher the number, the less energy the system uses to cool your home.

In 2023, the Department of Energy introduced SEER2. While the concept is the same, SEER2 testing conditions are much stricter and require systems to be tested under higher static pressure—closely mirroring the real-world conditions of the ductwork in your home. Because of this rigorous testing, a SEER2 rating provides a much more accurate, reliable estimate of how your system will actually perform and save energy in the real world.

How We Calculate Your Savings (2026 Data)

To provide a realistic estimate, our calculator uses a current baseline Dallas-Fort Worth average residential electricity rate of [Insert Current Rate, e.g., 14.5¢] per kWh (Source: U.S. Energy Information Administration / Public Utility Commission of Texas, 2026).
